Building on decades of preparing students for careers in medicine, the Master of Science in Medical Sciences Traditional program offers students two years of full-time, in-person study, starting in the fall semester.
This graduate program is designed for students who have already completed pre-medical coursework and seek advanced study to enhance their academic record through two-years of master’s level coursework.
No two students are alike. In addition to the rigorous advanced study of laboratory sciences, our students in the Medical Sciences Traditional program receive opportunities for supplemental instruction and workshops to gain a host of skills to help improve their confidence in preparation for the rigors of medical or other health professions programs.

Our graduate medical sciences students work with a health professions advisor who is experienced with providing you with the necessary support with academic advising, personal statement and/or resume development and guidance through the application process for the health professions program of choice.
Students who successfully complete our medical sciences program in good standing will also receive personalized, detailed committee letters for their health professions application. Each committee letter is tailored to your specific application needs for each institution where you are applying. This service is available to you for one year after program completion.
Agnes Scott College and Morehouse School of Medicine are partners with a linkage agreement for Medical Sciences master’s students who meet specific criteria. Students enrolled full-time in this master's program are eligible to apply for this linkage to the MD degree at the Morehouse University School of Medicine.
Students in this program will complete an MCAT (GRE, DAT, or related) test preparation course based on the health profession they plan to pursue. Offered through Princeton Review, students will complete the MCAT course together during their program and at no additional cost.
