Prepare for medical and other health professions programs through our Master of Science in Medical Sciences Online Accelerated program.
If you’re planning to apply to medical school or another health professions program, we can help you make the most out of your gap year.
Our 12-month (three-semester), fully online program is designed for students who have successfully completed their medical sciences prerequisites in-person and want to increase their competitive academic profile online.
Offering you the flexibility and convenience of a fully online learning experience, our accelerated M.S. in medical sciences online program begins with the summer semester. It features comprehensive studies in advanced sciences and a valuable test preparation course to enhance your medical school or other health professions application.
Asynchronous online classes explore topics such as advanced anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics of human disease and biostatistics, among others.
Our Master of Science in Medical Sciences Online Accelerated program features pre-medical studies such as advanced studies in biomedical sciences, in addition to the comprehensive test preparation course. Our program also includes graduate-level courses in anatomy and physiology, medical cell biology, genetics, public health and medical biochemistry.
By completing our fully online curriculum and taking advantage of your dedicated health professions advising opportunities, you’ll be a more competitive applicant for medical school or other postgraduate health professions programs.
Work with a team of health professions advisors to develop a health care studies path personalized to help you meet your educational goals.
Eligible students also receive committee letters for your medical school or health professions applications — each letter is tailored to your specific needs. You can take advantage of this service for up to one year from the time you complete the program.
As an added perk, all medical sciences students receive an Interfolio account. Health professions advisors guide you through the process to access your committee letters and application materials in your Interfolio Dossier, which connects directly with the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). Your dossier will be accessible on demand for all applications.
As a student in our Master of Science in Medical Sciences Online Accelerated program, you will complete an MCAT (or GRE, DAT or related) test preparation course based on the advanced medical schooling or health profession you plan to pursue. Offered through the Princeton Review at no cost to you, all students complete the MCAT course together during their program. Students can choose between Princeton Review or Blueprint to complete their test prep course at no additional cost.
