Program Cost & Tuition for Graduate School

The program cost associated with our graduate programs includes tuition charged per credit hour and a mandatory student activity fee charged by semester. Prices shown here are based on the 2021-2022 academic year, and are subject to change each academic year.

Enrollment Deposit

A nonrefundable enrollment deposit of $350 is due upon acceptance to be enrolled. This deposit will be applied to the student's first tuition bill.

Graduate School Tuition

Tuition (per credit hour): $950

  • Graduate Certificates (15-18 hours): $14,250 - $17,100
  • Master's Degrees (33 hours): $31,350
    Includes Data Analysis & Communication, Health Communications, Social Innovation, and Writing & Digital Communications
  • Master's Degrees (38 hours) : $36,100
    Includes Medical Sciences
  • Master's Degrees (60 hours) : $57,000
    Includes Clinical Mental Health Counseling


Mandatory Fees

  • Program Fee:  $80 per semester registered
  • Graduation Fee: $50 for graduate certificates and $150 for master's degrees

Below are possible costs that students should also consider:

Books and Supplies: Costs vary by class. Students within the Writing and Digital Communication programs should consider the purchase of a MacOS computer.

Health Insurance: Health insurance is optional for most graduate students. Graduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are not required to obtain graduate student health insurance through Agnes Scott; however, international graduate students are required to participate in the graduate student health insurance plan offered through Agnes Scott. To enroll, graduate students should contact the Wellness Center at or 404.471.7100. More information regarding plan options can be found on the Wellness Center website.

Parking Fee: Students who wish to park on campus will need to pay an annual parking registration fee of $100.

Cost of Attendance for International Students

International applicants are required to submit an International Graduate Student Certificate of Finances form for their application to be complete. The estimated 2021-2022 annual cost of attendance below is for international graduate students and based on a 33-credit hour program:

  • Tuition & Fees (fall and spring only, 9 -hours/semester): $18,260
  • Living Expenses: $15,455
  • Student Health Insurance: $1,500
  • Estimated Total: $35,215**

**Cost of attendance is subject to change without notice. Due to rising costs, financial planning should allow for a 3 to 5 percent annual increase in living expenses and/or tuition. Funding requirements will vary for students who have been offered grants or financial aid. If your spouse and/or children are accompanying you to the U.S., you must show an additional $3,000 for your spouse and $3,000 for each dependent child.

Paying Your Graduate School Tuition

Graduate students have the option of paying their tuition statement in one payment at the beginning of each semester, or entering a payment plan to make two or three equal payments over the course of each semester.
