YOU'RE ENROLLED! Now What?

We're so excited you are joining our community in August. This is the start of a beautiful journey in which you will begin to grow, learn and lead in ways that you may never have expected. But first, a few additional steps are needed before you can officially begin life as a Scottie.

Please note that due to COVID-19 implications, these deadlines and access dates may change. The college remains open and flexible to you and your family's unique situations during this time; please speak to your admission counselor should you have difficulty meeting these deadlines due to the current environment.

Your Welcome Packet & Summer Next-Steps

In late-April, you will receive a welcome letter in the mail that details the next steps for you to take with your summer paperwork. Visit this page often throughout the summer to keep track of all your important deadlines and forms, as this page will be updated routinely. Note: You must have your official Agnes Scott student username and password to access these items when they open.

Complete Placement Tests
Placement tests are available on our course management software, Canvas. Log in
with your ASC username and password. You will be taken to a page "Enroll in Student Advising/Placement tests;" click on "Enroll in Course" button on the right side of the page.
On the next page, click on "Go to Course," and you will find all the placement tests.

New Student Housing Application and Contract 
New students who wish to live on campus should complete the Housing Application and
Contract. Students who wish to commute must complete an off-campus housing application.

Tuition Payment Plan Enrollment
Instructions on how to access your online tuition bill will be emailed in early-June.

COVID-19 Vaccination/Waiver
UPDATE:
On May 7, 2021, the college announced the decision to require that the campus community - all students, faculty and staff - be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by beginning of the fall 2021 semester. We encourage ALL new students to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Once vaccinated, please upload your card into the Medicat portal; verification of your vaccination status is a requirement for fall 2021. If you cannot be vaccinated due to documented medical or religious exemptions, please contact the Wellness Center.

On Global Journeys for First-Year Students: If you plan to travel during Global Journeys with your class, you WILL be required to show proof of COVID vaccination by move-in day, as many countries and/or airlines are currently considering COVID vaccination requirements when crossing international borders. We strongly encourage you to get vaccinated as soon as possible to avoid potential delays.

Housing Accommodations Application
The Office of Accessible Education provides accommodations, services and resources to students with varying disabilities including, psychological, medical, physical or learning specific. If you would like to submit a housing accommodation request, we recommend submitting your application no later than July 1 as housing space is limited.

'Please Don't Snore' Roommate Matching Program
The Department of Residence Life will email ASC accounts with instructions on 
how to access the roommate matching tool beginning in mid-June for students who have completed their Entrance Health Requirements. Matching will take place in July.

SUMMIT Advising - Virtual Advising Appointments
Your Admission counselor will contact you July 15 with instructions about how to schedule your advising appointment. All appointments are scheduled two weeks before the virtual meetings take place. It is imperative that you schedule an appointment between July 5 and July 18, soon after you receive the instructions. Virtual Advising appointments will take place between July 19 through August 13.

Access to this survey will be sent via ASC email in July.

Accepting Your Student Loans
If you plan to use Federal Stafford loans, you must accept the loans in your ASCAgnes financial aid portal. After you accept the loans, complete the Master Promissory Note and Entrance Loan CounselingAll three steps must be completed before the loans are reflected on/applied to your tuition bill.
