Can I meet with an advisor?

Yes, we are open virtually! Staff in the Office of Academic Advising & Accessible Education (including all Summit Advisors and the Health Professions Advisor) are available on COMPASS for individual virtual appointments. Staff may use Google hangouts, Skype or email/phone.

Major Advisors are also available for virtual advising appointments. Some Major Advisors use COMPASS to schedule appointments, others may use an alternative scheduling system. Students should email assigned advisors for additional information.

Will any deadlines be extended?

We anticipate that some of our deadlines will be extended.  Please follow up with your SUMMIT Advisor for additional assistance.

How can I get my advising form signed and submitted if staff are working remotely?

All of our advising forms are online. Since students, faculty, and staff are not on campus to sign paper forms, we will accept emails from your Agnes Scott email accounts until the campus resumes regular business hours and resumes in-person classes. Students should send an email to their SUMMIT Advisor and CC your major academic advisor. Advisors can then reply all to indicate whether they approve or deny the request.
