SUMMIT Micro-credentials

Develop your leadership, global learning, digital proficiency, and career readiness skills even further by earning a SUMMIT micro-credential.

Micro-credentials at Agnes Scott College are digital certifications that recognize students’ verified competencies in four key areas: global learning, leadership development, digital proficiency, and career readiness. These credentials recognize students’ participation in focused, skills-based learning opportunities that connect academic work to real-world applications. Students earn micro-credentials through coursework, experiential learning opportunities, and co-curricular activities.

By aligning with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) competencies, including communication, leadership, professionalism, intercultural fluency, and technology, micro-credentials make students' skills visible to employers, graduate schools, and community partners. They provide students with a structured way to articulate their strengths, demonstrate achievement beyond the transcript, and stand out in competitive career landscapes. Micro-credentials affirm Agnes Scott’s commitment to preparing students for leadership and success in a rapidly changing, global workforce.

The SUMMIT micro-credentials augment the global learning or leadership development skills honed in Legacy Orientation, Leadership Prologue (LDR 101), Global Journeys (GBL 102/103), and SCALE (LDR-201) with additional experiential learning and coursework in Leadership Studies.
