  • Regular Deadline: February 15, 2023
  • Final Deadline: April 15, 2023

Important Note: It takes approximately 2-weeks for applications to be processed and verified by the PostBacCAS. Agnes Scott will only begin processing verified applications.

GPA Recommendation

3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average recommended.

  • Cumulative GPAs are calculated based on all undergraduate and graduate coursework completed from all post-secondary institutions, whether or not a degree was received from a given institution.

Application Requirements

The Pre-Allied Health Post-Bacc program is designed for students pursuing a career in professional allied health sciences fields such as physician assistant, pharmacy, physical therapy, or nursing.

Important Note: Applicants pursuing medical, dental or veterinary school should select either the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Accelerated or Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Flex program when submitting their PostbacCAS application.

Online Application

Complete and submit the online application, all application materials and the application fee through the common application, PostbacCAS

  • Once verified by PostbacCAS, you will receive a confirmation from our graduate admission team. It takes approximately 2-weeks for applications to be processed and verified by PostbacCAS. Transcripts

Submit to PostbacCAS: Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended, whether you completed a degree at that institution or not, with one showing completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution.

TRANSCRIPTS FROM INSTITUTIONS OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.
  • If transcripts are from a non-U.S. institution, an official Evaluation of Foreign Credentials is required along with copies of transcripts.
  • All applicants that attended a non-U.S. institution must be able to document their degree as being equivalent to that of a four-year bachelor’s degree awarded by an accredited United States college or university. Applicants must have their foreign credentials evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (naces.org). The evaluation must include: course by course description, documenting equivalence to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree (or the number of years toward completion and grade point average).

Letters of Recommendation

Two letters of recommendation submitted to PostbacCAS are required. Only academic or professional recommendations will be allowed. Academic recommendations are encouraged. If you have been out of school for 2+ years, professional recommendations are accepted.

Statement of Purpose

This is your chance to provide us a glimpse of who you are and why you want to be considered for this program.

  • Submit a one-page, single-spaced (or two-page, double-spaced) statement to PostbacCAS that details your reason for pursuing this program at Agnes Scott.

Resume/CV

Submit a professional resume or curriculum vitae (CV) to PostbacCAS that reflects your experience. This resume can include full-time or part-time positions, internships, and/or volunteer experience.

Important Considerations

  • Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis after the first deadline, so early application submission is encouraged for this competitive program.
  • A review of an application will occur only after the file has been submitted and verified by PostbacCAS - incomplete files will not be reviewed.
  • We recommend applicants submit their materials and application to the PostbacCAS 2-4 weeks prior to our deadline.

A student's perspective

“I couldn't have asked for a better post-baccalaureate experience than the one I received at Agnes Scott. This program invests in its students and wants them to succeed. The professors and administrators were responsive and supportive throughout the entire experience. My fellow classmates were dedicated and collaborative individuals who I am excited to call my future colleagues. I would highly recommend this program to all driven students who envision a career in healthcare for themselves!”
