Guest Information

Guest Parking and Check-In

Guest parking is available in the West Parking Facility located at 137 S. McDonough Street or the East Parking lot located at 184 S. Candler Street behind Charis Books. Parking lots will open at 7 a.m. Volunteers will be on hand at both locations to check in all guests for access to the ceremony area.

There will be TWO primary parking areas and points of entry for guests of graduates:

  • West Parking Facility (137 S. McDonough Street)
  • East Parking lot  (184 Candler Road behind Charis Books)

If you are using rideshares such as Lyft or Uber, your drop-off address is the West Parking facility.

Should any guests have special needs, please complete this form to allow our staff to best accommodate your experience.

Golf carts will be available from all parking locations for those who need additional assistance.

The outdoor Commencement ceremony will be held on campus, on the Science Quadrangle, rain or shine. Seating for the platform party, graduates and a limited number of guest tickets per graduate will be available in a tent, open on all sides. Additional seating will be provided outside the tent. Guests are encouraged to bring umbrellas to protect themselves from the elements, where necessary.

  • Each graduating student will receive four guest tickets for seating under the tent.
  • Each individual ticket will have a QR code. The QR code serves as the guest’s ticket and will be shared with guests by the graduate.
  • Contactless ticketing will be used. Printed or electronic versions of the ticket will be scanned upon arrival and cannot be used more than once.
  • Space/seating for guests without tickets will be available outside of the tent on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All graduates, guests, faculty, staff and vendors will be given wristbands upon arrival. Wristbands will be provided so that ushers can identify guests for the different seating locations. The wristband must be worn at all times while on campus.
  • Children under the age of two who can sit on a parent’s lap do not need tickets.

As a vaccinated campus, Agnes Scott encourages our guests to be vaccinated for COVID-19. For those visitors who are not, we request that you wear a mask when in the company of others.
