Alston Campus Center, Amelia Davis Luchsinger Lounge
Join us for an insightful conversation about the cultural heritage of the Agnes Scott College family. Excerpts from an interview with Gay Johnson MacDougall ’69x, Agnes Scott’s first African-American student, will be followed by thoughtful discussion of personal experiences by a panel of students and alumnae that represent the full spectrum of diversity at ASC.  Audience participation encouraged!

Please join the Jewish Student Association for an informal Kabbalat Shabbat. Refreshments will be served following Kiddush.

Woodruff Quadrangle (Rain location: Alston Campus Center, The Hub)
Parents, students, faculty and staff head to the quad for a relaxing Friday evening hour of music and refreshments, followed by dinner and the fashion show in Evans Dining Hall.
5-7 p.m. Indian Cuisine with Fashions from Around the World
Evans Dining Hall
Sample an Indian buffet and enjoy fashions from around the world. The fashion show is sponsored by the International Student Association, Office of International Education and Office of Intercultural Affairs with performances by intercultural student organizations.

Community Outreach—New this Year!

Parents can join their daughters for two hours of volunteering in the Decatur community. Volunteer opportunities will be listed at registration and those interested should meet at 9:45 a.m. in Evans Hall to join a project leader for the morning. Space  is limited.
10:45 a.m. Senior Investiture: Academic Procession
The class of 2011 will process from Dana Fine Arts Building to to Presser Hall. The faculty will process from Rebekah Scott Hall to Presser Hall.
11 a.m. Senior Investiture
Presser Hall, Gaines Chapel
Originating hundreds of years ago in English universities, Senior Investiture is one of the college’s most cherished traditions. During the ceremony each senior is capped with an academic mortar board as a symbol of her status at the college.
Noon Senior Investiture Luncheon
Evans Dining Hall
Luncheon by reservation only for seniors and their families. The luncheon will be complimentary for the Agnes Scott College senior student and four family members. Additional meals may be purchased for $8 per person.
Noon- 1:30 p.m. Cookout on the Green 
Woodruff Quadrangle (Rain location: Evans Dining Hall,Terrace Level, ABC)
While seniors celebrate investiture, underclass students and families enjoy lunch with music followed by fun activities for all ages.

1-4 p.m.

Harvest Fest
Woodruff Quadrangle (Rain location: Alston Campus Center, The Hub)
Celebrate the richness and beauty of the diversity that is Agnes Scott College. The Coalition of Student Multicultural Organizations (COSMO) unite to provide a festival of arts and crafts, ethnic foods, cultural dance and world music. Experience the world within Agnes Scott College!
Dinner A list of restaurants will be available at registration for visiting families.
