Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Professor Breidenthal’s research focuses primarily on employee social networks and creativity, as well as the impacts of perfectionism on employee outcomes. Her teaching interests include a variety of organizational behavior and human resource management topics, as well as creativity and innovation in organizations.

Professional Activities

Professor Breidenthal’s research has been published in Journal of Applied Psychology and Academy of Management Proceedings. Her research has also been highlighted in the Harvard Business Review. She is the co-author of the Creativity chapter in the Oxford Bibliographies in Management. She’s member of the Academy of Management (AOM), Southern Management Association (SMA) and International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA).

Prior to earning her Ph.D., Professor Breidenthal worked at Accenture as a Senior Manager in their Consulting workforce. She specialized in post-merger integration, operating model re-design, program management, and human resource management process design.
