Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Professor Millson’s teaching interests span a range of topics in epistemology and metaphysics. In addition to logic, philosophy of science, and core courses in epistemology and metaphysics, he has taught courses on the epistemology of conspiracy theories, the philosophy of slurs and pejorative language, and non-western epistemology. His research interests lie at the intersection of logic, philosophy of language, and philosophy of science.  He also has scholarly interests in political and social philosophy as well as continental philosophy and critical theory.

Professional Activities

Professor Millson has published a number of journal articles and book chapters on logic, philosophy of language, and philosophy of science. While his earlier research centered on continental philosophy and critical theory, he is currently writing a book on theories of scientific explanation with Professors Kareem Khalifa (Middlebury College) and Mark Risjord (Emory University).
