Housing Selection

Because living on campus is such an important part of the Agnes Scott college experience, Scotties are expected to live in our residence halls during their time as students. The housing room selection process is how we try to find the best fit for your needs, in an objective way.

We offer a wide variety of housing options and emphasize personal choice in your selection. If you're a current or returning student, the reapplication process includes registering for classes for the upcoming fall semester and participating in the roommate and room selection or assignment process during March and April.

If you require special accommodations or plan to request to live off-campus, you must complete specific forms by March 1.

Housing Selection Instructions

Step 1: Decide your first-choice living arrangement. Your options:

  • Single room – Rebekah Hall and Inman Hall (limited number)
  • Double room – Rebekah Hall and Inman Hall
  • Suite - Campbell Hall
  • Double Apartment - Avery Glen
  • Triple Apartment - Avery Glen
  • Quad Apartment - Avery Glen

Step 2: Collect your roommate's information.

  • To complete the ballot you must have each roommate’s name, ID number, email address, contact number, and points based on class year. Incomplete ballots will not be accepted. Please submit ONLY ONE ballot per roommate group.

Step 3: Complete and submit ONE ballot for all roommates by the due date above for that specific ballot type.

The order of housing selection is points-based, with priority will be given to those ballots with the highest number of points. Points are based on your class status according to the registrar.

  • Rising sophomore - two points
  • Rising junior - three points
  • Rising senior - four points

Step 4: Check your Agnes Scott email for a copy of your ballot.

  • Each roommate will receive an email copy of the ballot.
  • Confirm your ballot is accurate.
  • If there are any errors on your ballot, please reply to the e-mail with the correction as soon as possible.
  • Residence Life will review all ballots and contact you if any discrepancies arise

Step 5: Participate in Housing Selection night.

  • Come to the Housing Selection night for the type of housing you have selected. You will then choose your room. Priority will be given to those ballots with the highest number of points.
  • If you or your roommate cannot attend Housing Selection, please indicate a proxy on your housing ballot. This person must attend on your behalf.

Step 6: If your ballot was not selected for your first-choice housing option, submit another ballot and try again!
