Campaign Priorities

Student Success - $60 million

Connecting Students to Opportunity | Agnes Scott College has always excelled at connecting women to opportunity. Our innovative educational approach expands our students’ comfort zones, transforms their worldview and recalibrates their sense of possibility. Thanks in large part to the generosity of our donors, generations of alumnae have been inspired to follow their passions, maximize their talents and create positive change in their communities and around the world.

A critical element of this tradition is our commitment to supporting student success both in and beyond the classroom. We must ensure that students of all backgrounds and means have the chance to engage fully with their education; the deeper they dive, the more profoundly and positively they are impacted. That’s why a critical priority of Ring Leaders focuses on supporting our talented students and enhancing Agnes Scott’s on-campus programs. Through the campaign, we will help ensure each Scottie has every opportunity to thrive.

Teaching and Learning - $35 million

Unlocking Scottie Potential | We believe wholeheartedly in the power of a liberal arts education to unlock students’ potential and prepare them to lead fulfilling, meaningful lives across a wide range of industries, careers and callings. This philosophy underpins our approach to teaching and learning, with the SUMMIT framework at its core. SUMMIT has been a catalyst for transformation at Agnes Scott—bolstering our prestige, earning accolades from the media and our colleagues in higher education and providing an intentional, holistic structure for our academic enterprise. Ongoing investments in that framework will help us continue to educate Scotties who embody the college’s mission.

Ring Leaders will significantly strengthen the transformative liberal arts education that has defined Agnes Scott. Central to this endeavor is supporting our nationally recognized SUMMIT curriculum and ensuring that every Scottie engages with out-of-classroom, experiential learning opportunities during their college career. We will also invest in our exceptional faculty, who devote themselves to bringing out the best in their students and preparing them for career success. By uplifting our acclaimed teaching and learning model, we will ensure every student cultivates the skills they need to succeed in a dynamic, rapidly changing world.

Graduate Programs

Growing Graduate Students’ Impact | Agnes Scott College offers graduate and post-baccalaureate programs that align with our mission and the needs of our Metro Atlanta community and stakeholders across Georgia. These programs, which have grown significantly in recent years, attract talented students and faculty members, expand the range of courses and career opportunities we offer to students and elevate our brand recognition and reputation. They also cultivate professionals who can  remain in the region, serve our Georgia communities and meet the vital workforce needs of regional employers.

During the Ring Leaders campaign, we will launch a new physician assistant graduate program that addresses a pivotal workforce gap in the regional and national healthcare landscape. Established through the largest philanthropic gift in the college’s history, the Mary Lou Cornwall Hawkes ’65 and James B. Hawkes Physician Assistant (PA) Program will build on Agnes Scott’s decades of excellence in medical sciences education, meet student demand in this highly competitive field of study and help expand access to quality healthcare across our region.
