Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Dr. Raulniña Uzzle is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician who began her career in 2000 at Oakhurst Medical Centers, Inc. (currently known as MedCura Health) upon graduating from residency. After serving 15 months as the first Clinical Director for Oakhurst’s first satellite center, she was appointed Chief Medical Officer. During her 24-year servant leadership tenure, Dr. Uzzle strategically navigated the organization’s expansion from one clinical site to thirteen clinical sites, successfully overseeing eight consecutive accreditations through The Joint Commission. Her teaching interests include education in the multifaceted clinical, business, and leadership aspects of community health. In her role as Medical Director and Clinical Director of Community Health Initiatives, Dr. Uzzle will guide the PA Program as we develop a robust and transformational curriculum that will prepare students to deliver high quality patient-centered care to the local community.
