Agnes Scott has partnered with Mercer University’s Tift College of Education to offer the accelerated Program in Education. Earn a bachelor's degree from Agnes Scott and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Mercer University— in just five years.
Admission Requirements
If you're interested in applying to the Program in Education, talk with your SUMMIT advisor about the planning and application process as early as possible. You'll begin your journey by applying to the program in your junior year. To apply you should:
- Be a junior at Agnes Scott with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
- Complete the no-fee application.
- First, select the Undergraduate Working Adults Program application
- Then, select "Transient" student, Bridge Program, Atlanta, and the applicable start term.
- Use EDUBEAR as the fee waiver code.
- Complete the online, self-paced module “GACE Ethics for Teachers Assessment-Exit Portion- Test Code 351"
Program Courses
Once accepted by Mercer, you'll take three undergraduate-level courses and one graduate course in education at Mercer University during your junior and senior years at Agnes Scott.

Graduate Student Status at Mercer
