Morgan Barnett

morgan-barnett-photo_small.jpgMorgan (she/her/hers) is a junior double majoring in Political Science and Classical Civilizations beginning her first year as a tutor at The Center for Writing and Speaking. Prior to becoming a tutor, Morgan was a tutee in the partner's program and her primary objective as a tutor is to make all of her future tutees feel as comfortable and confident as possible expressing their creativity. Despite being born in New York, Morgan prefers the sleepy Georgia suburb that she was raised in.  While Morgan loves humanities, politics, and any place where those interests can intersect in an academic setting, she enjoys tutoring papers from all disciplines. While on campus,  Morgan would like to further her knowledge of human rights and modern-day forms of oppression, compare the rhetoric traditions of the ancient world to contemporary public speakers, and grow her skills as a communicator.  She is also an experienced public speaker and debater and is excited to help tutees become more confident as speakers and writers. When not working, tutoring, or studying,  Morgan enjoys sitting down with a nice cup of tea and a good book, enjoying an early morning walk on Agnes Scott's beautiful campus grounds, or binge-watching her favorite television shows on Netflix.
