Melody Simmons

melody-simmons-photo_small.jpgMelody (she/her/hers) is a senior English major and History minor from East Tennessee, and this is her third and final year as a CWS tutor. Melody loves working at the CWS and getting to meet and work with so many students every year. While her main areas of expertise are English and history, she also has experience with film studies, creative writing, poetry, music, and French. She is ready and willing to tutor any subject and any kind of assignment, but she especially loves helping students with brainstorming, outlines, English and history research papers, and all things organizing. She also loves course tutoring and getting see how much first years grow in their writing and speaking over the course of the semester. When she's not tutoring, you can find Melody singing in the Collegiate Chorale and volunteering for the music department through Sigma Alpha Iota. In her free time, Melody loves watching anything and everything on Netflix, taking pictures of cool trees (she firmly believes that every tree is a cool tree), and exploring new places with her friends. She's excited to work with and help more Scotties during her final year of tutoring!
