Eve Clark

eve-clark-photo_small.jpgEve (she/they) is a sophomore hailing from sunny Southwest Florida. She plans to double major in Creative Writing and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, as well as minor in film. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a Master’s Degree and eventually become a professor, and is excited to start working with college students as a tutor. Although this is her first year tutoring with the CWS, she previously tutored with her high school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. On campus, she serves as the Treasurer of the Honor Court and is also involved with the Bee Society and the Black Ring Radio, where she hosts a podcast called Write Now, in which she discusses the creative writing process with a series of guests. In high school, she was an enthusiastic mock trial participant and credits that experience with giving her the confidence to speak publicly. She is eager to share her strategies with students who feel nervous giving presentations. In her far too little free time, Eve enjoys “grandma” hobbies: embroidery, crochet, and baking. She also enjoys terrible movies and her orange cat, Freddie. As an English major, she is particularly excited to help first-year students with their English assignments, but is interested in all types of papers.
