Step 1:  Searching for Funding

The OSP offers one-on-one guidance in searching for potential external sponsors.  We subscribe to several funding opportunities publications that will assist in the search.

Grants Resource Center

The Grants Resource Center (GRC) is a subscription service offered by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).  GRC publishes regular newsletters that feature upcoming grant opportunities.  You may also use the GrantSearch database to search for funding opportunities in your field.  The GRC site is password protected.  Email the OSP to find out the user ID and password for Agnes Scott College. allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies. GRANTS.GOV is an access point for more than 1000 grant programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies.

Foundation Center

The mission of the Foundation Center is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects.

Step Two:  Start Developing Your Proposal

At the pre-award stage the OSP staff welcomes the opportunity to review rough drafts of proposals and discuss the proposal and budget development with you. Let us help you outline a proposal draft or make improvements on an existing proposal.  At this stage, we will work with you to plan target dates for completing parts of the proposal.
