Director, Resource Center for Math and Science

LaShandra came to Agnes Scott from Clark Atlanta University, where she spent 5 years as Academic and Research Activities Coordinator, supporting STEM students. In this role, she provided training and guidance to undergraduate and doctoral research students, led the tutoring program, and coordinated seminars and programming to support students' academic success, professional development and research experiences.

LaShandra has a Master's degree in Biology/Microbiology, and worked at two different companies before her position at Clark Atlanta: she was an Environmental Data Analyst at ADS Environmental Services and then a Dispensing Packaging Technician at Nektar Therapeutics.

As the Director for the RCMS, LaShandra coordinates all activities with the math and science learning assistants, works with the GEMS program staff to develop new initiatives and programs for STEM students, and helps to assess the impact and effectiveness of the GEMS programming.

Please drop by and visit her in BSC 303. She will be happy to talk with students about the support offered through the Resource Center for Math and Science.
