The Office of Internship and Career Development

The mission of the Office of Internship and Career Development is to inspire, encourage and support the professional development of every Agnes Scott student. We advocate a proactive and reflective approach and employ a strengths-based approach grounded in experiential learning.

Via intentional exposure to the world of work, students develop professional presence, career literacy and meaningful relationships with alumnae and career mentors. Via a sequenced set of workshops and one-on-one opportunities, students learn how to create and maintain a toolkit of professional tools. Our approach is grounded in the belief that for most students, professional development and learning will be a lifelong journey with many different experiences that may include graduate school and multiple careers. Students learn to self-reflect, evaluate and proactively navigate multiple opportunities.
