Tara Spuhler McCabe ’96

Reverend Tara Spuhler McCabe '96. Rev. McCabe serves the National Capital Presbytery as a pastor and is the coordinator for the Presbyterian Church Young Adult Volunteer Program. She is also a leadership coach at Faith Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C, where she encourages individuals and groups to advocate for improving their communities via organizing and social justice.

While at Agnes Scott, Rev. McCabe was a religious studies major and spent three months in Indonesia, interviewing and researching the Minangkabau Culture, a matrilineal Muslim society, for her independent study. After graduating Agnes, she earned her Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, where her focus was on urban ministry and cross-cultural mission.
