Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Dr. Lee is deeply committed to mentoring learners at all stages of their medical journey, from high school students to fellows, supporting their development into compassionate and skilled physicians. Her clinical expertise lies in food allergy, with a particular focus on early introduction strategies for prevention and early intervention approaches for infants/toddlers following diagnosis. Additionally, Dr. Lee has a strong interest in medical informatics, especially in leveraging electronic medical records to standardize and enhance the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices.

Professional Activities

During Dr. Lee’s training at Mount Sinai, she did research on microbiome in asthma patients as well as look at trends for testing in food allergic patients. After training she went into practice in NYC where she helped grow a practice in size as well as in services provided with a specific expansion in food allergy diagnostics and treatments. From there, she transitioned back into academics at Emory where she was a sub-investigator on several food allergy and asthma clinical trials to include both NIH funded as well as industry trials. During her time at Emory she also developed a tool within Epic that triggered discussions about early peanut introduction in the continuity clinics at a low income clinic to help systemic uptake of evidence-based practices by practicing pediatricians and thus improve the care for the patients. Most recently, she opened a full-service allergy/immunology practice in Decatur where she serves both adults and pediatrics in the community. She continues to mentor and has many learners in the clinic from undergrads to the allergy/immunology fellows.
