Agnes Scott College’s Department of Art and Art History is seeking nominations and applications for a Kirk Visiting Artist for 2013-14. We seek painters who can demonstrate significant achievements in the field and evidence of excellence in teaching. The Kirk Visiting Artist will teach Painting Processes I/II in the fall semester, will be included in a spring exhibition at the Dalton Gallery at Agnes Scott College, and will also choose a work, in consultation with the faculty in the Department of Art and Art History and the Interim Director of the Dalton Gallery, to be acquired for Agnes Scott’s permanent collection.
M.F.A. is required.
To apply, send (electronic preferred) letter of application, curriculum vita, graduate transcript, contact information for three references, teaching evaluations, and a digital portfolio to Prof. Katherine Smith, Chair of the Department of Art and Art History. Digital portfolio should include twenty images: ten images of applicant’s creative work and ten images of students’ work in jpg format not exceed 1 mb. Please label all images with applicant’s name and with title, material, size, and date, either as captions or on a separate sheet.
