Drisana Duran

drisana-duran-photo_small.jpgDrisana is a junior and a second-year tutor at the Center for Writing and Speaking. As a native New Yorker who is used to city life, she enjoys spending time outside exploring different shops and eateries in town with her friends and family. Drisana is incredibly excited to work with and learn from as many Scotties as possible this year. While she is partial to assisting in the brainstorming and organization components of an assignment, she welcomes tutees working at any stage. When she’s not at the CWS, Drisana can be found either sitting in the sun, writing in her journal, or both. As a more reserved student herself, she understands the vulnerability that comes with sharing one’s work, and therefore Drisana’s main goal as a tutor is to create a safe and comfortable space for tutees to feel completely confident during meetings.
