Alumnae & Visitors

The primary mission of McCain Library is to support the information and research needs of current Agnes Scott College students, faculty and staff.

We also serve graduates, family of faculty and staff, ARCHE interlibrary use patrons and special guests of the college. Library privileges extended to alumnae, visitors and other "guest borrowers" are intended to supplement the resources available through the guest's own employer, school or public library. Visitors under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

Until further notice, non-ASC Visitors are restricted to daytime hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Archives researchers should request an appointment at archives@agnesscott.edu.

In compliance with campus COVID protocols:

  • Non-ASC visitors to McCain Library are expected to have been fully vaccinated or to document an exemption.
  • Mask-wearing is strongly encouraged inside McCain and is required when interacting with library staff.
  • Please sign the Visitor Register at the front desk.

Librarians are available on weekdays to assist with locating and retrieving resources. To ensure a librarian is able to assist with your research needs, call 404.471.6096 or email library@agnesscott.edu.

To facilitate the onsite use of materials we offer photocopy machines and scanners.
