The Agnes Scott College Department of Psychology is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to begin August 2026. We are seeking a candidate with a strong methods background with a potential focus in the areas of Developmental and/or Social Psychology.
 
This position is a one-year appointment with teaching and advising responsibilities at the undergraduate level. The teaching load is three courses each semester. Potential courses include Introductory Psychology, Research Design and Methods, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, and Health Psychology as well as courses as needed. A PhD is required for a Visiting Assistant Professor position; MA, MS, and ABD candidates will be considered for appointment at the Visiting Instructor level. Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level is also required.

Applicants who make it to the final rounds of recruitment will be asked to submit letters of recommendation, course evaluations, and to provide a recording of a course that they recently taught or a recording of a teaching demonstration. immediately and continue until the position is filled.
 
It is expected that the person selected will teach in-person at the College.
