The Department of Economics and Business Management at Agnes Scott College invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach undergraduate courses during the upcoming Fall 2026 academic term.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will teach two in-person courses:
- ECO-207: Macroeconomics
- ECO-309: Money, Banking and Financial Markets
These courses are part of the College’s undergraduate curriculum and serve students pursuing majors and minors in economics and business management, as well as students from across the liberal arts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality in-person instruction
- Develop and/or follow course syllabi consistent with departmental standards
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback
- Maintain regular office hours and communicate effectively with students
- Submit grades and required reports in accordance with College policies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics or a closely related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate level
- Ability to teach both introductory macroeconomics and upper-level courses in money and banking/financial markets
- Commitment to excellence in teaching within a liberal arts environment
