On April 15-16, we celebrated Alumnae Weekend 2016 and welcomed over 700 alumnae and guests to campus. The weekend was jam-packed with 60 events and included traditional events such as the Outstanding Alumnae Award Lunch and The Hub Sing and new events including Think, Live, Engage, an intercultural dialogue series.

This year’s Award Lunch recognized alumnae who were Outstanding in four categories: Service to the College (Linda Lael '66), Service to the Community (Jane Alsobrook Miller ’48), Distinguished Career (Mary Brown Bullock ’66) and Outstanding Young Alumna (Wasfia Nazreen ’06). This year’s winners spanned decades from 1948 to 2006 and included an alum who spent her entire career working for women’s equal rights and pay, another alum who helped Duke University start a university in China literally from the ground up with a $250 million budget to an alum who has scaled all of the world’s seven highest Summits.
