Data Visualization is more than charts and pretty colors. It is the visual communication of data through thoughtfully crafted representations to increase clarity and transform data into comprehensible information.

In today’s data-driven world, professionals in all industries, both public and private, and at all levels, benefit from a keen understanding of how to communicate data insights for their organization. Our Data Visualization Graduate Certificate Program teaches you to understand the latest methods in data analysis and visual design to become a successful data storyteller with the ability to convey complex insights persuasively. Upon completion of our Data Visualization Graduate Certificate, you will understand the right data analysis and visualization techniques, and applications, for each situation.

Agnes Scott Graduate Studies partners with Data Science Connect (DSC), the largest data science organization in the Southeastern United States. DSC is committed to making data science accessible to everyone and every industry through education, civic enterprises, strategic connections, and quality programming that is innovative, festive, and nontraditional. Dr. Kallina led workshops at their 2019 annual conference entitled Data Visualization, Literacy, and Storytelling: What the Data Says and How to Communicate it. As a sponsor, our graduate students have access to this exceptional networking partner, through volunteer opportunities or networking events.
