Health Insurance
Health insurance is mandatory for all students. All undergraduate and Year Five students are required to take the college policy. The policy offered through the college is from Markel Insurance or TW Lord for International students. The $412 premium for fall enrollment and $258 premium for January enrollment (for Markel) will be automatically billed to the student's account.
The policy for graduate and post-bacc students, which is $522 (pricing for 2008-09 not yet established), may be waived with proof of coverage by another company. Students may be seen in the Health Center regardless of the type of health insurance.
Cost of Services
There is no fee for office visits to the student health center. Additional services provided on campus such as laboratory tests and immunizations will be billed either to the student's account or Markel insurance.
Confidentiality/Class Absence
All medical records and clinical consultations are strictly confidential. Records cannot be released without the written consent of the student.
The Student Health Center supports the ASC Honor System, and therefore does not issue excuses for missed classes.
