Directory Information

Student education records are confidential and private and are not released without the student's written consent. One exception however, is the release of directory information which may be released without the student's consent, unless that student has submitted a data exclusion request.  In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Agnes Scott College has designated the following items as DIRECTORY INFORMATION:

  • name
  • permanent home address
  • campus email address
  • major field of study
  • enrollment status/anticipated completion date
  • dates of attendance
  • degrees and awards received (including honor rolls)
  • participation in officially recognized activities and sports

Agnes Scott's Online Phone Directory (OPD) includes a photograph of the student. OPD is a private, password protected, online campus directory that is only accessible to Agnes Scott College Faculty, staff, and students who have a current network account, and OPD is for internal use only. Students may choose to exclude some or all of their directory information, including the photograph from disclosure by filling out a data exclusion request form in the Office of the Registrar.
