Psychology

Lex Pulice-Farrow graduated from Agnes Scott College in 2014 with a Psychology major and an English Literature minor. They are originally from Sarasota, FL, and currently live in Knoxville, TN. Following graduation from Agnes Scott, Lex enrolled in Towson University's MA in Clinical Psychology program, and graduated in 2017. Presently, they are enrolled at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville's PhD Program in Counseling Psychology, where their research takes a strengths based approach to focus on trans individuals. As a student at Agnes Scott, Lex most enjoyed the feeling of community that the campus provided, and felt supported not just as a student, but as an athlete and as a person as well. As a psychology major, they benefitted most from the professors' strong commitment to mentoring students, as well as the opportunity to do multiple research projects with Dr. Jenny Hughes. These experiences allowed Lex to learn the drive and focus that succeeding in academia requires, as well as how to balance work, family, and health. Learning how to balance has also contributed to them training for and competing in Ironman Triathlons, working toward a PhD, publishing multiple papers, cooking lots of food, and taking care of their dog, Kona, and their cat, Popsicle. Their picture was taken in Baltimore, Maryland.
