Psychology

Celeste Minor graduated in 2018 with a BA in psychology and a minor in studio art. She is originally from Athens, GA and recently moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for work. She works for FAST Enterprises, a software company, as a Testing Coordinator. During her time at Agnes Scott, she interned in Human Resources at the College as well as at Dekalb Medical. She also learned how to conduct research and present at research conferences with Dr. Jenny Hughes. She was accepted into Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, and served as the Treasurer of Psi Chi (Psychology Honor Society). She also studied abroad in Spain through the ASC in Spain faculty-led trip. This trip, along with other language classes, helped her to develop her Spanish language skills. During this trip, she learned how to travel more independently while maintaining a safety net. She has always loved the culture and language and it was a goal for her to visit Spain. She feels that the Career Development office was an invaluable resource for her during her time at Agnes, along with the alumnae connections she made. The Career Development office, helped her to find internships and her career path. She notes that one of the things she likes best about Agnes Scott psychology was being involved in all of their events and those made her feel like an important part of the community. Those included game nights, coffee before finals, and spending time with other psychology students. Her favorite part of being a psychology major included all of the classes she got to take and especially Dr. Jenny Hughes' research class and industrial-organizational psychology class. Her picture is from a recent trip to Prague.
