The New York Times has posted a review with praise for a recently released short story collection, “Damage Control,” from Amber Dermont, Charles Loridans Associate Professor of English at Agnes Scott College.
“Dermont, whose first novel, “The Starboard Sea,” was published last year, is a deft writer, bullish on her characters, assertive in her descriptions of these specific worlds,” write the New York Times reviewer.
Dermont was also recently quoted in a New York Times article in February about a surge in popularity for short stories.
