Google Sites Policy

Everyone is encouraged to use their existing, public administrative unit or departmental web sites to provide information to both external and internal audiences.  However, the need may arise to limit access to information to an internal audience only.  For example, posting account information or internal procedures for hiring managers.  For these situations, Google sites will be used to create a private web site that will be accessible only to the Agnes Scott community.

If you feel that you have a need for a private site, please complete the Request for private Google Site form.  Staff in ITS and Marketing and Public Relations will review your request.  If your request is approved you will need to email the ITS Help Desk to request that  a Google site be created for you.

Include in your email:
1. The name for your site (no spaces, this will become part of the URL)
2. Who the owner of the site should be

Once the site has been created, it will be your responsibility to build the site.  Lynda.com contains an excellent tutorial on Google sites titled, “Google Sites Essential Training”.

After reviewing the tutorial, if you have questions about using Google site please contact Tammy Roundy or Kimberly Knight.
