Health Professions Advising

Agnes Scott’s post-baccalaureate students reflect a broad range of ages and backgrounds, all working to engage in a strong community network to champion one another to be their best.

In addition to peer-to-peer engagement, students access individualized academic, health professions, and clinical volunteer advising from a dedicated team of faculty and staff to support you throughout your program. Our advisors will guide your academic success and leadership development.

Learn more about our team of professional advisors and faculty:

Our Director of Health Professions Advising and Partnerships guides students through their program, offering academic advisement as well as important preparation to apply for the health professions pathway of your choice. This includes personalized committee letters and resume reviews.

Our student-centered approach to advising is tailored to your unique needs, focusing on timeline planning and increasing your competitiveness for the medical school or health professions pathway of your choosing.

Professors understand the purpose our pre-med and pre-allied health students bring to their studies, and want to mentor students beyond the classroom. Faculty are available to meet with students individually, enabling students to deepen their content knowledge of the coursework, while also building meaningful relationships.

Throughout their program, students have the opportunity to attend exclusive workshops, programming, and information sessions designed to address relevant topics, including but not limited to, the creation of compelling personal statements, finding their fit in healthcare, hands-on learning opportunities, and preparation of their medical school applications.
