This story revolves around two wandering tricksters, appropriately named Sly and Dim, who see in the sartorial preening of the vain Emperor an opportunity to make some welcome cash. Despite the misgivings of the Emperor's two fastidious ministers, Timely and Puckering, Sly and Dim are engaged to weave a most remarkable suit of clothes from a most remarkable fabric- a cloth that only the wise can see. And it isn't until the Emperor is parading in his boxer shorts in the town square that, with the audience's help, the weaver's ruse is finally revealed.
