Prints of Mary Wallace Kirk

Gallery Talk, The Prints of Mary Wallace Kirk

Wednesday, April 8, 7:00 p.m.
Dalton Gallery, Dana Fine Arts Building

Please join us as we welcome Dr. William Eiland, director of the Georgia Museum of Art, as he discusses the architecture and aesthetics of etchings by Mary Wallace Kirk, trustee and alumna from the class of 1911.

Mary Wallace Kirk graduated from Agnes Scott as the treasurer and poet of the class of 1911.  She returned to our college in 1917 and was elected to the Board of Trustees, on which she served for six decades.  Not only was Kirk one of the first women elected as a trustee of a southern college, but she may well have been the longest serving trustee of any college.  Join us as we celebrate her art, life, and legacy from March 26 through April 18, 2015.
