Atlanta Science Festival - March 22-29

Starting this Saturday, you're invited to take advantage of the many opportunities to check out the Atlanta Science Festival, happening all across the city and right here on our own campus!

Atlanta residents of all ages will have the opportunity to explore the science and technology in our region and see how science is connected to all parts of our lives in a range of hands-on activities, facility tours, presentations and performances. The festival culminates in the free family-friendly Exploration Expo at Centennial Olympic Park, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Find details on the 100+ events that make up the festival, as well as general information, on the ASF website.

Agnes Scott is hosting three ASF events: a guided tree tour of the Agnes Scott Arboretum on March 23 at 2 p.m., an evening of observing the night sky through telescopes at the Bradley Observatory on March 25 at 8 p.m. and a planetarium show and observatory tour on March 27 at 6 p.m. We'll also have a booth at the Expo on March 29, where participants will be invited to explore various sources of light and the ways that we see and interact with them in our daily lives. Find more detail on all of these in the Irvine Events section, and contact Molly Smith with questions about our participation in the festival.
