COVID-19 Task Force Update: January 7, 2022

If You Test Positive for COVID-19

Regardless of vaccination status and whether or not you have symptoms, if you test positive for COVID-19, you should isolate yourself at home for at least five full days.

  • If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving and you have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, you are able to leave home after five days. you must continue to wear a well-fitting mask when at home and in public for five additional days.
  • If your symptoms are not resolving after five days or your continue to have a fever, you must continue to isolate for five additional days. If you have a fever, continue to stay home until you are able to stay fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.

If You Are Exposed to Somone with COVID-19

The CDC defines exposure as a "close contact" which is spending 15 minutes or more closer than six feet to someone who has COVID-19. 

You do not need to quarantine if:

  • You are fully vaccinated and have received your booster, and you do not have symptoms
  • Regardless of vaccination status, you also do not need to quarantine if you had a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 90 days

You should quarantine for five days if:

  • You developed COVID-19 symptoms after exposure
  • You have not yet received your booster (regardless of symptoms)
  • You are unvaccinated (regardless of symptoms)

You should wear a well-fitting mask around others during your quarantine and for 10 days after your exposure. You should also obtain a test at least five days after last close contact. Tests may be a rapid antigen or rapid PCR. 

College Protocols for Employees

If you test positive for COVID-19:

  • Please notify your supervisor of your absence from work (taking sick days) or from the office (working remotely). 
  • Please report your positive COVID-19 test to the Wellness Center at wellnesscenter@agnesscott.edu and pandc@agnesscott.edu as soon as you receive the results. 

If you have received your booster shot, you should have already uploaded your vaccine card demonstrating your status to MEDICAT. Employees also have the option to upload their vaccination cards or bi-weekly test results to Paycor.
