Professional Activities

Anna Cabe is a Pinay American writer whose writing is forthcoming or has appeared in Slate, Bitch Media, Vice, Cincinnati Review, decomp, The Masters Review, Slice, The Toast, SmokeLong Quarterly, Joyland, and Fairy Tale Review, among others, and has been anthologized by Forward: 21st Century Flash Fiction, Not My President: The Anthology of Dissent, and Unbroken Circle: Stories of Cultural Diversity in the South. She has served on the editorial staff of Indiana Review and is currently a fiction editor for Split Lip Magazine. Anna was a 2015 Kore Press Short Fiction Award semifinalist, a finalist for Midwestern Gothic's Summer 2016 Flash Fiction Series, a finalist for the 2015 Boulevard Short Fiction Contest for Emerging Writers, and the second runner-up in StoryQuarterly's Sixth Annual Fiction Prize in 2019. She attended the 2019 NVM & Narita Gonzalez Writers' Workshop at the University of the Philippines and has received support from the Fulbright Program, Millay Arts, the Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, and the James T. and Ella Rather Kirk Fund of Agnes Scott College. She is completing a novel set during Philippine martial law. She is represented by Erin Harris of Folio Literary Management.
