Support Our Scotties

The COVID-19 public health emergency continues to create concern and uncertainty both globally and locally. Through it all, the college’s decisions have been guided by our responsibility to the safety and well-being of our students and campus community. As we navigate through this difficult time, many members of the Agnes Scott campus community have asked how they can help. Alumnae, parents, faculty and staff can support students through the Support Our Scotties campaign to assist with immediate move-out needs and the Student Emergency Fund/The Fund for Agnes Scott.

Support Our Scotties

As students prepare to move off-campus and switch to remote learning for their classes for the remainder of the spring semester community members, alumnae, faculty, and staff can support through the Student Support Sign-Up Form. The college is seeking people who can:

  • Provide temporary housing for students who are unable to immediately return home; and/or
  • Provide temporary storage space for students who are unable to secure a place for their belongings.

If you are interested in helping in this way, please complete the form. A staff member from the Office of Alumnae Relations or the Office of Student Support Services will follow-up.

Note: While all assistance offered may not be needed at this time, do know how very grateful we are for your interest.

The resilience, support, courage, and generosity we are seeing from community members, students, faculty, staff, and alumnae as the college responds to COVID-19 is deeply inspiring and emblematic of the Scottie community

Student Emergency Fund

Following the March 17 decision to close the residence halls for the remainder of the spring semester, we heard from many members of the community asking how they could support students and the college during this difficult time—recognizing that it would pose a hardship for some members of our community and the resources of the college at a moment of great uncertainty.

Anyone interested in supporting the college and assisting with our ability to meet the changing needs associated with responding to COVID-19, we encourage making a gift to the Student Emergency Fund and/or The Fund for Agnes Scott to assist with student travel, technology and other expenses in response to COVID-19. Your support of these gift opportunities is a way that every Scottie and friend of Agnes Scott can contribute to our ability to meet the dynamic challenges that we face and help ensure the safety, health and security of students, faculty and staff.
