COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Returning Graduates

  • Must have pre-arrival antigen or PCR testing within 3 days of the ceremony. Testing verification for returning graduates must be uploaded to Medicat prior to arrival to campus, or
  • Fully vaccinated graduates who have been fully vaccinated for at least 2 weeks do not have to be tested. Vaccination verification must be uploaded to Medicat prior to arrival or
  • have a positive antibody test
  • COVID Kits for home testing can be purchased at CVS
  • Reach out to wellnesscenter@agnesscott if you need assistance finding a testing location or for questions.

Capacity Limits and Operations

  • Attendance is limited to faculty, administrators, staff, speakers and graduates and their guests only.
  • Guests and graduates must adhere to masking and strict social distancing at all times while on campus.
  • Contactless ticketing will be used.
  • All guest participants will be asked to self-check prior to arrival.
  • Guests are limited to no more than 2-guests per graduate
  • Graduates must register their guests in advance of the ceremony and only those registered may attend.Guests will be sent an email confirming attendance for entrance. Please share that email at check-in for access to campus.
  • The commencement ceremony will be held outdoors on the Science Quadrangle, rain or shine. The area will be covered by a tent that is open on all sides. Guests are encouraged to bring umbrellas to protect them from the elements where necessary.
  • The seating capacity for the area is 654 allowing 6ft distance between each individual and family pod.
  • No food or drink will be permitted.
  • No communal gathering or reception will be held before or after each ceremony.
  • Staff will confirm that all guests entering the ceremony area have complied with registration and ticketing requirements.
  • All graduates, guests, faulty, administrators, speakers, vendors will be given wristbands once they are cleared for entrance. The wristband must be worn at all times.
  • Unless being used for staging or restroom needs, all campus buildings will be locked for guest safety.

Social Distancing

  • Face coverings are required for all in attendance including volunteers, except where unsafe due to medical condition or disability.
  • Guests must wear their face coverings at all times. Masks will be available for individuals who do not have them upon arrival.
  • Graduates must wear their face coverings at all times, except for designated photograph locations.
  • Members of the platform party and speakers may remove their face coverings during their remarks only provided that there is at least 3 feet between the speaker and the audience.
  • 3 feet distancing between guests not in the same household
