Agnes Scott College offers an intensive, five-week language program at the University of Oviedo in northern Spain. Students begin their experience with an orientation and four-day stay in Madrid before transferring to the city of Oviedo. Students then live with local families and complete 80 hours of coursework in Spanish language and if appropriate, history, literature and art.

Participants who complete the program receive eight academic credits in Spanish. Intermediate coursework satisfies Agnes Scott's foreign language requirement. Credits from more advanced coursework may be applied towards the completion of a major or minor in Spanish.
