Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Annual Plan

In summer 2020, the Division of Equity and Inclusion led the college’s efforts to develop a justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) plan for the 2020–2021 academic year. This agenda was informed by the results of our 2019 campus climate audit, the listening tour of our newly hired Vice President for Equity and Inclusion Dr. Yves-Rose Porcena, and the college’s mission of “engaging the intellectual and social challenges of our times.”

The social challenges of our times undoubtedly include inequities highlighted by the coronavirus pandemic and the renewed national emphasis on confronting racial injustice. These challenges require concerted institutional efforts. This year’s JEDI work plan "Looking Back. Advancing Forward" takes an institutional approach with five core themes:

Advancing a Culture of Anti-Racism

Inspiring and Supporting our Students

Developing and Caring for our Employees

Driving Inclusive Excellence through Training, Education and Research

Impacting Communities
