Agnes Scott College invites applications for a full-time, open rank faculty director of its new master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Launching in August 2025, the program will educate students as they become highly-skilled physician assistants who demonstrate clinical excellence, lead inclusively, and serve their patients and communities.

The faculty director will provide the vision and leadership necessary to develop a nationally recognized PA program. The ideal candidate will possess academic excellence, clinical expertise, and program administration experience. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President and Dean for Graduate Studies, the faculty director will be responsible for developing clinical sites in the metro-Atlanta area, hiring and supervising faculty and staff as the program grows, coordinating the curriculum, conducting program assessment and leading the program through the ARC-PA accreditation process, among other key functions. Additionally, the director will participate in the admission process and the supervision of staff as required by ARC-PA..

The faculty director will teach two courses per year in addition to administering the program. This is a 12-month, full-time non-tenure track faculty position, with a start date of August 1, 2024.

Successful candidates will be licensed or license-eligible as a physician assistant in the State of Georgia, and have a master’s degree or higher in physician assistant studies or related field. Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and experience working with diverse populations is required.  Additionally, candidates will have experience in program leadership, ARC-PA accreditation, budget management, PA faculty and staff development, and clinical site development and stewardship. Active involvement with professional societies is preferred.
