Enjoy some Agnes fun and frivolity by viewing the Kick-Off event, featuring a number of talented alumnae who you’ll want to meet, including Kate McCallum ’10, Arsed “Sed the Saint” Joseph ’06 and former Dean of Students Gué Hudson ’68.

Learn more about the latest news from campus in the Conversation event, featuring the voices and perspectives of key faculty and staff leaders, as well as some of our newest class of 2021 and 2020 alums and one of our alumnae trustees, Kathy Scott ’84.

Embrace our Scottie traditions during Convocation, hear an update on the Association from President Whitney Miller Ott ’03 and Alumnae Association Board leaders, PLUS relish some good old-fashioned competition between the classes as the giving trophies are awarded!

Take time to remember and honor those Scotties who passed away over the past year as we ground ourselves until next year with College Chaplain Whitney Booth Lockhart, during the Memorial Service.

The Agnes Scott College Alumnae Association represents over 14,000 living alums* of Agnes Scott College, connecting alumnae to one another and to the college.

Our Alumnae Association is a success only through the engagement of Scotties of all decades and generations, from our home state of Georgia to Scottie alums across the country and the world!

Through attending events, volunteering, reading and sharing college communications, or engaging with social media, we invite you to get involved!

Saturday, June 5, 2021 - Annual Meeting of the Alumnae Association (aka Alumnae Convocation) – The Annual Meeting of the Alumnae Association occurs every year during Alumnae Weekend.

At this year’s meeting, the membership voted to approve the following updates to our Constitution and By-Laws - here.

The following slate of candidates were elected to the Alumnae Association Board of Directors:

  • Ellen Parker Gaffney, Class of 1987, from Atlanta, GA for a one-year term as Alumnae Board President-Elect

For a three-year term on the Alumnae Association Board of Directors:

  • Margaret “Peggy” Fredericks Smith, class of 1962, from Park Springs, GA
  • Judy Jackson Mozen, Class of 1967, from Roswell, GA
  • Virginia Rockwell, Class of 1979, from Barboursville, VA
  • KayLeigh Shebs Waters, Class of 2006, from Pittsburgh, PA
  • Joelle Aterre-Roberts, Class of 2014, from Lilburn, GA

Nominations for candidates for the Alumnae Association Board of Directors can be submitted here. Nominations for the following year close no later than November 1.

2020 - 2021 Alumnae Association Board Meetings

  • Saturday, August 15, 2020 – This meeting set the stage for the year, introduced our metrics for success, welcomed incoming directors, and launched this year’s four Strategic Project Teams (SPTs) and their charges: Metro Atlanta, Post-Graduate Success, Alumnae Engagement and Alumnae Events. Every meeting includes an update on fundraising.
  • Saturday, November 6, 2020 – This meeting included a presentation from Admission VP, Alexa Gaeta. The Board voted on the 2021 Outstanding Alumnae Award recipients, previewed updates to the Alumnae Association Constitution and By-Laws, and voted to proceed with an initial slate of nominees for the 2021-22 Board.
  • Saturday, February 22, 2021 – This meeting the Board heard about the Strategic Plan from President Zak and members of her Cabinet. The Board voted to approve officers and nominees for incoming directors for the 2021-22 year. They also voted to approve proposed changes to the Alumnae Association Constitution and By-Laws. This meeting’s fundraising report included an update on The Campaign for Main.
  • Friday, June 4, 2021 – The Alumnae Board concluded its work for the 2020-21 year, welcoming the nominees for incoming directors and thanking those whose terms are ending.
  • Thursday and Friday, June 24-25, 2021 – Alumnae Board officers and committee chairs gathered to develop a plan for our future.
    Watch for its release by early fall 2021.

 *Including almost 400 alumni from co-educational post-baccalaureate and graduate school programs (as required by law).


Mark Your Calendars

  • August 11, 2021: NW. Ga/W. NC Mountain-area Scotties Luncheon. Hosted by Minnie Bob Campbell, Carol Ray, Avary Doubleday. Invitations have been sent for Scotties we know reside in the area. If our list is incomplete, or for more information, please contact Carol Ray.
  • September 16, 2021: Atlanta Chapter Fall Kick-Off Luncheon. All alumnae in the Metro area are invited to the chapter’s annual fall luncheon, to be held on Thursday, September 16 and co-chaired by Janet Joiner and Marcia Knight. Email invitations will be going out later this month. Rejoin friends for this in-person gathering and hear an update on the college from President Lee Zak.
  • Decatur Chapter Fall Kick-Off Luncheon and a GOLD Alum Happy Hour (Graduates of the Last Decade) are both on the horizon as well. Watch for a date and emailed invitations for those as well.


  • Colorado Scotties gathered together in Denver at the home of alumna Becky Holman on June 26, honoring the life of Becky’s dear Agnes Scott friend and fellow alumna, Jan Baucom.
