Early Decision

If Agnes Scott College is your top choice or your dream school, you may wish to apply via Early Decision. You must submit an application and, if you're a U.S. citizen, a FAFSA by the stated deadline (see links and details below). You will be considered for all merit-based scholarships, and you will receive your admission decision within a month. If you're admitted, we'll even include your financial aid package with your acceptance letter, so you'll have everything you need together.

Important: Applying Early Decision commits you to enroll at Agnes Scott if you are admitted and offered an adequate financial aid package by Dec. 15. For this reason, Early Decision is referred to as a restrictive, or binding, agreement. You may only apply to one college under Early Decision.

"That's me! What do I do now?"
So, if Agnes Scott is your dream or top choice college, you aren't applying to another college's Early Decision program and you agree to attend Agnes Scott if you are accepted, follow these steps to apply to Agnes Scott as an Early Decision candidate:

  1. Be in contact with your admission counselor.
  2. Submit an application (via Common Application) by Nov. 1.
  3. U.S. citizens must submit a FAFSA by Nov. 1.
  4. You'll be notified of your admission decision by Dec. 1. If admitted, your financial aid package will arrive with your decision letter.
  5. Submit your admission deposit by Dec. 15.
  6. Enjoy your winter holiday and the rest of your senior year!

APPLICANTS IMPACTED BY NATURAL DISASTERS: Please note, if your ability to complete your application for admission on time and/or to gather and submit all the necessary credentials needed for admission has been impacted by recent natural disasters, no worries! We will extend upcoming Early Decision (Nov. 1) and Early Action I (Nov. 15) deadlines on a case-by-case basis for students, families and counselors of impacted areas. Please contact the Office of Admission at admission@agnesscott.edu to let us know your situation and to discuss when we might expect your application materials.
