Who Needs to Take These Courses

In compliance with Federal guidelines and as part of the College's commitment to your well-being, Agnes Scott is requiring all new students to complete both Haven and AlcoholEdu.

See below for your deadlines to complete the Haven and AlcoholEdu courses.

How Long Can I Expect These Courses to Take?

AlcoholEdu will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

Haven will take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

How Do I Take These Courses?

You will need one EverFi Higher Education Account* to access the Haven and AlcoholEdu courses from your EverFi dashboard.

To fulfill Agnes Scott College’s requirement:

  • Go to: and click "Register"
  • Under Student/Learner, enter Registration Code b5a91998 and click "Next" to create your EverFi account
  • All new students are required to complete Part I of Haven and AlcoholEdu by August 7, 2017
  • Note: When prompted, enter your Agnes Scott College email address and your Student ID# to receive credit for completion.
  • After 30- 45 days you will receive an invitation to complete Part 2 of Haven and AlcoholEdu which must be completed by October 23, 2017

*If you already have an EverFi Higher Ed Account, go to, enter your login information, then enter registration code b5a91998 by clicking “Add a Course” in the top right corner of the Dashboard.

EverFi has partnered with the National Domestic Violence Hotline to provide access to an anonymous “Chat with an Advocate” feature within the Haven course. If at any time during the course you would like to chat with a trained Hotline advocate, you can click the "Chat with an Advocate" button. Advocates are available to chat every day from 7 a.m. - 2 a.m. Central time. No identifiable information of students using the chat feature will be collected by EverFi nor shared back with Agnes Scott College.

Other Important Information:

  • You will need Internet access and audio capabilities.
  • To avoid technical issues, please use any major web browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) released within the previous two years.
  • You may take the course in multiple sittings.
  • The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
  • Should you experience problems, technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the “Help” link within the course.

What Happens After I've Taken the Courses?

After you complete Part 1 of AlcoholEdu and the entire Haven course, you will receive a link via email to take Part 2 about 30 days following your completion of Part 1. You must complete Part 2 of Haven and AlcoholEdu by October 23, 2017. After you've completed Part 2, you will have met the online safety course requirement for Agnes Scott College

I'm Not 21, But I Still Drink. Will My Answers be Private?

The AlcoholEdu course will include surveys about your personal health behaviors to help personalize your experience and measure students' alcohol-related attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; Agnes Scott College will only receive information about the student body as a whole and never your individual answers as a student.
